I could not post this picture until my nephew Peter received his pottery back. Sarah was at a birthday party so Peter and I painted also. However he did not tell his father about it. He wanted to surprise him. So he now has his giraffee and I can post this picture. Thanks for painting with me Pete.

Aunt Stacey & Pete
I could not post this picture until my nephew Peter received his pottery back. Sarah was at a birthday party so Peter and I painted also. However he did not tell his father about it. He wanted to surprise him. So he now has his giraffee and I can post this picture. Thanks for painting with me Pete.

That giraffe came out great. The first thing Pete said when he took it out of the box was that he wanted to "finish" painting it and then put it back in the oven. But it actually looks great, and we convinced him not to mess with it. He is just a perfectionist (which does not necessarily make for a good artist). The giraffe is currently on the mantle over the fireplace. I'm thinking about putting my safari plate from Africa over there too, so maybe we will have an African theme in the family room.
